Mark and Clare are the husband-and-wife team behind your trusted, family-run butchers shop. With over 30 years of combined experience in the meat industry, they bring passion, knowledge, and a genuine commitment to quality and service to everything they do.
Mark’s journey began on the renowned Bury Market, where he built a loyal following through his skill, dedication and focus on top-quality meat. Clare, before joining the family business, worked in the hair industry for 22 years – developing a strong background in customer service and building meaningful relationships with her clients. That same warmth and attention to detail now shine through in the shop, where every customer is greeted with a friendly face and personal care.
Together they’ve created a welcoming, traditional butchers shop that combines expert knowledge with a personal touch. From hand-selected cuts and homemade sausages, to helpful cooking tips and honest advice, Mark and Clare are proud to serve their community with quality you can trust and service that feels like family.

First time visitor and a very happy customer ?
I had a variety of sausages including some Old English that they threw in for me to try...suffice to say they went down a treat with me and my mates.
I also had 2 pork steaks which were superb, so different than supermarket which seem to give out a lot of water.
I'm very impressed and you'll be seeing me sooner rather than later.

24 May 2022 We tried the boiled ham it was delicious far better quality than any supermarket. We also tried the pork chops which were outstanding the best pork chops we have ever tasted excellent. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Looking forward trying other high quality products.

20 May 2022 my son popped in today and got some belly pork and sausage. He said he didn't buy sausage as the man was very chatty and he felt embrassed asking for some after he'd paid ?, so very friendly staff and the belly pork was delicious ?. I'll let you know about the sausages when we get some. definitely be back.

24 June 2022 - Bought some various sausages and burgers ,very reasonable prices. Tried the lamb burgers , Quarter pounders and the Moroccan sausages up to now ,all absolutely quality. Can’t wait for some nice weather to break out the bbq. Mark and family behind the counter were brilliant will be back often.

11 May 2022 1st timer at the top chop the beef stir fry was bloody lovely and rib eye steak melted like butter in your mouth defo be back top quality produce

3 June 2022 Pre ordered some meat for out BBQ on Friday and with it we had a Tomahawk, super thick and huge as you can see & then cooked to perfection. Couldn’t fault anything we had, chicken kebabs, burgers, sausages all super tasty. Definitely recommend..
